I could tell you about my PR rock star status (coverage by 30 print, radio and TV outlets in 24 hours) - but I'd rather brag about the best part of my first media event last week: white vanilla cupcakes with mocha buttercream frosting. Come on, like I was going to pass up the opportunity to do some serious baking? Besides, I've always wanted to try making my own toppers. Thank goodness for graphic design interns!
And the fun didn't end there. Since it was an international event with our neighbors to the north, I made sure we had a proper celebration with the addition of chai spice maple leaf cookies - with buffalo and elk shapes, too. Best part? My guests of honor actually sat at the table and frosted these with me.
