OK, I know I've been a little MIA - but don't fear, I've been baking up a storm. Unfortunately, the weather also decided to whip up a storm or two... just in time for the first farmers market of the summer! Rain quickly turned into 2 inches of snow and hail, followed by some very gusty winds. After spending days prepping doughs, batters and frostings, I was incredibly disheartened. How can you let good butter go to waste?!
Luckily the weather cooperated enough for the market to take place yesterday, and I was able to unload a little more than half of my inventory. Perhaps the best thing though was a call to deliver a dozen to a local business as a thank you from a customer. So fun! Turns out cupcake deliveries might be a great way to make up for market leftovers. I also got a custom order to do make cupcakes for a dinner party on Sunday. Guess this small town could really use some cupcake lovin'.
Pictured above are the 3 flavors I made this week:
Strawberry Limeade: Fresh strawberry cake with a key lime buttercream
Zucchini Caramel: Zucchini spice cake with vanilla bean caramel frosting
Lemon Lavender: Rich lemon cake with lavender, honey & lemon buttercream

I officially now want a cupcake...these look yummy!
