Do the Can-Can! Pickles & Lavender Lemon Jelly

I've got two new blogs to send your way today with one key message: you CAN do it! It's the perfect time of year to buy in bulk, pick up those slightly blemished fruits and veggies, and get down to some serious canning business. I'm no expert, but I just recently canned a batch of salsas and pizza sauce (posts coming soon) and am beyond motivated to try more!

Check out the Herb of the Week: Lavender (there's a HUGE list of uses) and then check out her Lavender Lemon Jelly tutorial! I can't wait to give it a try - all this sunny weather has got me on a lemon kick now... thank goodness I've moved on from the cupcake kick - too dangerous!

Next up is the Life with a Possum - Homesteading with Pride blog from Possum Hill Farms - there's a new post on canning pickles that makes it sound so easy that I think it might be Pie Bird-approved! I've never ventured in to the world of pickling - I'm curious to hear if any of you are pickling superstars...
